LMCs - Our Movement known as the Lay Missionaries of Charity, is an International Association of lay persons, both married and single: - who take juridically private annual vows of (conjugal) chastity, poverty, obedience and whole-hearted free service to the poorest of the poor, lived according to each one's own state of life; - with a life marked by prayer and a spirit of joyful sacrifice within their own families and in the heart of the world, and thus living an upright and holy life in every place, consecrating the world entirely to God; - who are intimately linked to the family of the Missionaries of Charity, founded by Blessed Teresa of Calcutta, and with whom they are spiritually affiliated; - who fully recognize the Magisterium of the Church, and respect and obey its ministers.- doing ordinary little things with extraordinary love, for the greater glory of God.
We meet every third Monday of the month in the Chapel. We pray Evening Prayer in front of the exposed Blessed Sacrament, and Fr. Ignacio Ortigas, our Spiritual Director @ St. Rose for the LMCs gives a teaching.
Spread love everywhere you go: first of all in your own house. Give love to your children, to your wife or husband, to a next door neighbor... Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of God's kindness; kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile, kindness in your warm greeting. Mother Teresa
